AP: DIGIPAK IDEAS 2 - Guns n' Roses

This is some of the ideas for the front and the back of our digipak. We like this as it links into our media theory. We also found that the vanilla CD from Lady Gaga and Tony Bennett contained a newspaper style front and rear cover which is something we hope to replicate.

Fonts Downloading and Experimenting

We have gathered a series of fonts to experiment with for our digipak and magazine ads. we hope to create this using placeholders first and receiving audience feedback from various groups from our set target audience. From our Instagram as well as school friends with the possibility of going to younger year groups and ask them as many of Gaga's fans are below our target audience of 15 - 24. 

AP: Digipak Ideas : Front Panel Ideas

We had an idea to take the screenshot at the bottom of this post for the front panel of our digipak however we realised that this would be rather difficult to recreate. However the framing is fantastic and also incorporates the use of a rose which links to our working title Black Rose.

AP: Magazine Ad Ideas 1

For this we have a few ideas based on the scene involved in our music video.

Within this we hope to use the black roses used in the film as a teaser image of them just on their own. Placing this on a white background, in a vase using a picture frame as the QR code.

We also hope to be able to use an old guitar case with the guitar on the side as another teaser ad. As the guitar has many sticks on it we hope to be able to use the guitar case as a background and add a QR code to look like it is one of the stickers.

There is also the possibility of using Lady Gagas wig to take up the full frame and incorporating something into the frame in order to entice the audience.

We hope to be able to use the 'Room to Rent' idea to create a teaser ad too, by possibly using different currency to show Lady Gagas Internationalism and also to be able to use the QR code too.

AP: Digipak Ideas 1

Digipak ideas so far:


we hope to use a 6 panel horizontal template incorporating a lyrics booklet. - We hope to use a white background for the front and the rear. This would therefore use a CD and a DVD.

From this we hope to create 2 versions - changing the font and rear panel and maybe using some form of colour distortion on the interior. We hope to combine this with a running theme from the back to the front with the possibility of using the same idea - possibly rotated etc for the front and rear panel.

For this we would like:

• Lady Gaga on the front of a dining room chair facing the camera. And for the rear of the digipak Lady Gagas wig for the back of the cover and blending the lyrics into her hair. 
• A classified ad - a room to rent for viral #globalgaga - scanning newspaper to overlay our work. This could also work for a magazine ad. 
• There could be a scrapbook idea on the inside panels of lady gaga 'travels' around the world. 

We think an OST (Original Sound Track) would work best for this and produce it as if we have made a movie out of it. 

We also think ideas involving the paper dresses could have some potential input. Using the front and the back of the dresses. this would also be good for the inside panels as we could use ripped newspaper revealing the photos or text underneath. We could also use a cut out of the dress and replace it with song titles.

AP: Bad Romance - Gagapedia

We recently 'googled' the meaning behind the Hitchcock reference in Bad Romance. The first link took us to the Gagapedia website which stated that she wanted:

" The deepest, darkest, sickest parts of you are afraid to share with anyone because I love you that much. - The song represents her ' fear of Love Monster' "
